There is no single location that works for every bathroom or every person. A vertical bar near the shower entry supports a different movement than a horizontal bar along the back wall. A toilet-area bar requires its own reach, clearance, and mounting review.

Tile

Fiberglass
A fiberglass surround can have a void between the finished surface and the wall. The installation method must account for that gap and the available structure.
Drywall
Toilet and transition areas often involve drywall. Framing, clearances, the selected hardware, and the intended use define the mounting options.

Can you install a grab bar through tile?
Many tile installations are possible. The final decision depends on the tile condition, drilling location, wall structure, mounting method, and risk of damaging the finished surface.
Can a grab bar be installed on a fiberglass shower surround?
Often, but not automatically. Fiberglass surrounds can contain a gap between the surround and the wall. The mounting plan must account for the finished surface, the gap, and the available structure.
Do I need to buy the grab bar before the appointment?
No. Contact EazyStep Bath before purchasing if you are unsure about length, diameter, finish, orientation, or mounting style. A bar can physically fit the wall and still be wrong for the intended movement.
Can I use a towel bar for support?
No. A towel bar is not designed or mounted as a structural handhold. Use a purpose-built grab bar where body-weight support is expected.
Will a grab bar prevent every fall?
No. A grab bar provides a purpose-built handhold. It cannot remove every fall risk or replace medical, occupational-therapy, or mobility guidance.
